I've just recently found my 3rd gr-grandparents, Frederick Duane Wood, and his wife, Clarinda Reynolds, in the 1850 census in Smyrna, Chenango Co. According to the census, he's the son of Frederick Wood (b. abt. 1799 Ny) and Amanda (b. abt. 1800 NY) and Clarinda's the daughter of Amasa Reynolds (b. abt. 1806 NY) and Dorthy (b. about 1814 NY). Frederick D. Wood (1839-1908) and Clarinda Reynolds (1834-1900) later moved to Calhoun Co. Michigan.
The 1850 census lists the other Wood children as: Henry, 15, and Wm Z (Ziba?), 8. The other Reynolds children are: Laura, 18, Sophia, 14, Harriet, 11, Ellen, 7, Byron H., 5, and Argile, 1. The Reynolds were living next door to Timothy P. & Mary Reynolds who are of the right age to be Amasa's parents. Is any one out there connected to these families or have any other information? I'd greatly appreciate any assistance in researching this family!
