The U.S. Geological Service GNIS database shows a historical site named "STRAUB" (var. STROUB/STROBE) about 10 miles east of Mill City in Pershing Co., NV. Does anyone know anything about this historical place?

My grandfather, Albert Roy STRAUB (b. 1879 in Prospect, OH; d. 1969 in San Jose, CA), was known to be living in Fallon, NV, in 1905, where he married Nina WILLIS (b. 1879/80 in Hannibal, MO; d. 1956 in San Jose, CA). There
are vague family references to alfalfa farming "near Winnemucca," but so far, I've only proved ownership of land in Fallon -- for both Bert and his father-in-law, William M. WILLIS.

Could "STRAUB" be where Albert STRAUB lived before coming to Fallon?
