I have Landvik history books and can give you some more details of Reinert's background.
He came from the farm Neset. (Næsset in old spelling)
It is now in the municipality of Grimstad near Lake Rore.
This property was divided from the farm Skiftenes and sold July 19,1783. Buyer was Søren Terkelsen (-1794) from the farm Haugebu, Landvik and wife Gjertrud Aanonsdatter (-1826) from the farm Liene, Landvik.
Oldest daughter Gurine Sørensdatter (1772-1851) married 1800 with Samuel Nilsen (1773-1847) from Kjærestrøm, Birkenes parish. 3 children.
Nils Samuelsen Næsset (1808-1873) married 1841 Ane Gurine Øvensdatter (1823-1898) daughter of Øven Jensen and Ragnil
Gulbrandsdatter who lived on Tjorestrand, Landvik when she was born .13 children, several died young, a couple of them in cardinal Fever. The five sons who became adults became all ship carpenters. Nils Johan Nilsen Næsset born 1850 married 1893 to Anne Martea Madsdatter from croft Slettene under farm Inntjore, Landvik daughter of a shoemaker Mads Kristian Gundersen and Andrea Aasine Arnoldsdatter. Landvik history books Written in 1961 states that it is the same family that owns the farm, but has no information about the family after 1900,but it is possible to follow some family branches back several generations.
