Diane: Did you ever find out what was going on in Torrance Co. in the 1920's? I am searching for a family, Horton H. Scherer and his mother Ella A. Leathers who resided in Taique per the 1910 US Census. They had come by way of Texas. Was land being offered by homesteading?? Horton was a farmer. Thanks. Jo
