Robert, to be honest, I don't know the answer to your question concerning any relationship between J.D. LEE and Edgar LEE. Edgar, by his own comment to his wife and children, was an orphan but I don't know exactly what his meaning of that was. In the 1920 Census, Roosevelt Co, NM he is listed as being born in TX in 1875 with father & mother birth places unknown to him. Being an orphan at that time could have had many different meanings and, since I do not know the names of his father and/or mother or the circumstances surrounding his birth and early life, I do not know much more than I stated in my original statement on this forum. TX is a big haystack in which to look for my needle and my only LEE family contact is his granddaughter who was born in Kenna, NM but was very young at the time of their move to AR, who does remember going to the Dallas, TX and Quincy, IL areas for family reunions in the 1940's but does not remember any names or relationships of people who were at the reunions. Sorry I can't be of more help. I will keep eyes open for JD LEE -- if, in your searches, you find any clues to my missing links, be sure to let me know. Richard
