While in Tucumcari (Quay County, NM) last
month I noticed a sign, to the northeast of town and near the experimental agriculture station, advertising
"Musick's prize bull auction".

I mentioned this bull auction to a couple of people in Tucumcari and they said that there was a bull auction every year but did not know much else.

I am descended from William Fletcher and Martha (MUSICK) Fletcher. They are my great grandparents and homesteaded about 25 miles east of Tucumcari.

Does anyone know the background on this gentleman advertising the bull auction?
I am curious as MUSICK is a rather unusual name. Is it just a coincidence?
