This is Luther Franklin Carpenter's line as I presently show it:

Oliver P. Carpenter, born c1820-1824 in TN, married on 28 Feb 1855 in Wilson Co. TN to Jacaportas [1860] or Frances [1870, 1880] Ann Vivrett, who was born c1840 in TN, sister of Mary Vivrett or Viverette who married Samuel H. Carpenter. They resided in Wilson Co. TN in 1860, in Rutherford Co. TN in 1870, and were in Sumner Co. TN in 1880. Children:
1. William Lafayette Carpenter, born 31 Aug 1856 in Rutherford Co. TN, “son of Oliver Carpenter,” died 22 Dec 1925, married c1882 [1900 census] to Jennie Bevel or Bevels [ACC2]. They settled in Sumner Co. TN. The 1900 census states they had been married 18 years and had nine children, seven of whom were living at that time. Children:
       1a. Lindsey Monroe Carpenter, born 18 Aug 1883. He married c1909 in MO to Cordelia A. “Delia” _?_, who was born c1884 in CO. The 1914-1915 city directory of Otero Co. CO lists them as ranching in Wietzer, a P.O. and station the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe railway five and one-half miles west of Rocky Ford CO [FAMcK]. They resided in Otero Co. CO in 1920 with children:
              1a1. George Carpenter, born c1910 in MO.
              1a2. Euda Carpenter (daughter), born c1912 in CO.
              1a3. Lindsey Carpenter, born c?1916.
       1b. William Acey Carpenter, born 5 Aug 1885, unmarried and living with his parents in 1920.
       1c. Cora Ann Carpenter, born 8 Jul 1888, married Oscar K. Kendall of Clay Co. TN and lived in Sumner Co. TN -- ancestor of ACC2.
       1d. Azariah “Azzie” Carpenter, born 19 Sep 1892. The 1914-1915 city directory of Otero Co. CO lists him as a ranchhand at Wietzer, a post office and station on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe railway, five and one-half miles west of Rocky Ford CO [FAMcK]. He resided with his brother Lindsey M. Carpenter in 1920. He is interred at Manzanola (Mount View) Cemetery, Otero Co. CO as “Azzie” Carpenter, 19 Sep 1894 - 1 Apr 1951, a Veteran of WWI.
       1e. Dona Lea Carpenter, born 10 Jul 1894, married the Rev. Edd Morris.
       1f. Luther Franklin Carpenter, 28 Aug 1896 [1900 and 1920 censuses] in TN, died 30 Nov 1985 at Gallup, McKinley Co. NM [SSDI]. The 1914-1915 city directory of Otero Co. CO lists him as a ranchhand at Wietzer, a post office and station on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe railway, five and one-half miles west of Rocky Ford CO [FAMcK], with Azzie Carpenter, ranch hand, Luther A. Carpenter, ranch hand, and L. M. Carpenter, rancher (wife Delia A.). He resided in Otero Co. CO in 1920. Children [NCG]:
              1f1. Charley Carpenter, born c1916.
              1f2. Juanita Carpenter, born c1919.
       1g. Oliver Samuel Carpenter, born 26 Aug 1898 or 26 Sep 1905.
       1h. Mae Frances Carpenter, born 5 Sep 1899. Perhaps she is Mary Carpenter, married _?_ Goad [ACC2].
       1i. Ernest Dewey Carpenter, born 27 Jun 1900. The 1914-1915 city directory of Otero Co. CO lists him as a ranchhand at Wietzer, a post office and station on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe railway, five and one-half miles west of Rocky Ford CO [FAMcK]. He resided with his brother Lindsey M. in 1920; he is said [ACC2} to have gone to Chicago.
       1j. Eldridge “Al” Carpenter, born 3 Nov 1902; he is said [ACC2} to have gone to Chicago.
       1k. Curtis Arthur Carpenter, born 26 Sep 1905.
       1l. Melvin Carpenter, born 3 Jan 1908.
