Mary, Here is some information about James Gilbert. James Gilbert was born 14 Dec 1866 and died 19 Apr 1958. He is buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton, NM. He was married to Maria Biviana Gurulé (b. 2 Dec 1883, d. 11 Jul 1969). They had one son José Bivián (Vivian) Gilbert, b. 2 Dec 1908 in Koehler, NM, d. 11 Jul 1978 in Albuquerque, NM. (Notice that Vivian and his mother Biviana had the same birthdate and death date.) Biviana was the older sister to my paternal grandmother, Petronila. I know that "Tio" Jim had a son named Julian from a previous marriage. I'd have to check with my cousin Jimmy Gilbert (James' grandson) to see if Julian and James had other siblings. Vivian Gilbert (my dad's first cousin) said that Tio Jim was from Illinois, perhaps Chicago.
