Brenda, Looked at the book again, (it was published in 1997), and the best source listed appears to be family charts submitted to the NFA by Joseph's sister, Sarah N. Nickerson Stickney. Also lists sources of a cousin, Rev. Alonzo Nickerson, cousin Hannah Blaisdell (Allen) Remick, Kermit Nickerson and John Downs. The NFA should have the family charts mentioned and whatever other info was provided by the "cousins" and others. The NFA website is nickersonassoc.org When contacting Sheila it will help greatly to give her Joseph's NFA #1403 and his line of descent from William the immigrant--William, Samuel, Samuel, Joshua, Jonathan, Joshua, Joseph Rice Nickerson. You asked if I am a NFA member. Yes, actually I am the co-genealogist for the society. We are currently working on book 5. This will be a huge undertaking as book 4 goes through the 7th generation and names the children of the 8th. Most of us today are in the 10th, 11th and 12th generation, with my grandchildren being in the 14th. We have hired a professional genealogist and are working with her, but again, it is a huge undertaking--one that requires lots of man hour and dollars. There is a lot of upfront leg work to be done also, to verify sources and get them into standard, accepted, genealogy format. Anyway, lots of things going on, both with the website and the genealogy. When we are ready to publish (?) it will be in parts, ie. Part 5-Nicholas and each son from there. If interested my Nickerson line is William1, William2, Thomas3, Nathaniel4, Issacher5, Basset6, Basset C.7, Horace8, Jesse9, Roy10, David11, and me12--My maiden name is Nickerson.
