Hi Dannie! It has been a long time since you posted your question, but I want to share some info about Andrew Jackson Trussell
He was born in March 15, 1822, in Green County, Alabama. His parents were James Trussell and Sarah Asher (died when Andrew was 8) Andrew owned a tavern in Old Marion Southey Fisher, Mississippi and was promoted to lieutenant during the war with Mexico. About 1851 Andrew joined the Texas Rangers, fought the indians and went to San Antonio, where he was recluted by Parker to fight in Nicaragua. After the explosion in the steamboat he was taken in a British man-of-war to New Orleans. Died February 09, 1858
