Joseph was born in Stratham 1752 Jan 04, son of Joseph Clark (John, Matthew, Edward) and Deborah Taylor (Jonathan, John, Anthony). He married 1777 Jan 15 Bathsheba Lane, dau of Samuel "Samuel Lane Diary" Lane (Joshua, William, William) and Mary James (Benjamin, Edmund, Edmund). Their son James was born at Sanbornton 1784 Feb 01. According to Rev. Runnel's History of Sanbornton, New Hampshire, he died in what is now Franklin, although at the time was Sanbornton, 1810 Jun 25 ae 58y-6m, title Captain (he was a Lieutenant in 1791). And Bathsheba died his widow 1825 Jul 11 ae 68y-2m. No other children of Joseph are noted. Reverend Moses Thurston Runnels published his book in 1882 and it is regarded as quite reliable within reason. Volume II contains the genealogies.
