I am looking for any information on my gt Grandfather. I know that the oldest son was given the name William and that it is common for them to be known by their middle name. William Hall Smith b Oct 24th, 1864 in Napier, NZ and d Nov 30, 1943 Greenlane, Auckland. He married Mary Jane Woolliams, Their children were William Louis b Mar 17, 1896 Tauranga(my Grandfather) Susan Mary (Mollie) b Jan 19 1898 Tauranga Violet b? Thomas Hall b? and their may have been another child William Louis married Irene Matilda Heywood and had 5 children my Dad William Thomas Smith being the 3rd child. William Hall parents were William Smith and Mary Alexander but I know nothing else about them. My Dad use to say that there was French and Irish heritage through his Dad's family I would love to hear from anyone related to me Barb
