My grandfather was John Herman Nelk born in Danville, IL 11-25-1888 his father was John Nelk age about 60 At John Herman's birth, mother Minnie Washow or Vessel age about 50 at time of birth. John Herman had a brother by the name of Charles who lived in Rockville, Indiana. I am not sure of any other siblings. John and Minnie supposedly came over from Germany. Would love to know what part of Germany and where John and Minnie might be buried. I assume somewhere in Danville, IL. Any help on this family would be appreciated.
