Daniel Monroe Lake was raised by Andrew Jackson Lake and Angie (Morgan) both of Ohio. “Dan” was born in Omaha, Nebraska on 6 Apr 1895 and had 3 older half sisters named Roberta(“Bertie”), Angie(“Dollie”), and Georgie (all Lakes). The father died in 1909 when Dan was fourteen. Dan may have then lived with his sisters in the state of Washington (Yakima Co). On 7 May 1916 Dan married his wife named Katherine L. (Schuler) who was either born somewhere in WA, or in Omaha in 1899. Daniel Monroe and Katherine would have a child named Dan (Jr) born in about 1918 in Washington (probably Yakima Co, maybe Seattle/Tacoma). In 1925 another child would be born in Oregon to Dan (Sr). This child would be named after his grandfather, Andrew Jackson Lake. By 1930, Dan was a fireman for the city of Astoria, Clatsop Co, Oregon.
