I ran across this article in an old Weld Co, Colorado newspaper and thought someone might be interested. Here ya go, Anna Publication: Greeley Tribune (Greeley, Weld County); Date: Nov 24, 1892 Page 5 Killed Their Sister Cody, Neb., Nov 17--The home of A.C. Tremmel, a farmer residing near this city, was the scene of a distressing tragedy Monday. In the absence of the parents the two boys, aged 11 and 9 respectively, secured an old gun and after extracting the shot from a number of shells, proceeded to fire at a mark. The 8-year-old sister of the boys received a charge during the practice, causing instant death. |
