Looking for information about Elisha S. Gibson, b 2-23-1832 d 11-4-1909, long time Nuckolls County resident and laid to rest in the Spring Creek cemetery near Ruskin. Would like to learn more about his early life before his 1852 marriage to Ann Maria Lewis in Illinois. Especially would like to learn who Elisha's parents were and any information about them. Records I have located to date do not agree whether Elisha was born in Ohio or Indiana. A Nuckolls County newspaper article (November 4, 1909) says Elisha moved to Washington County, IL as a young boy. Searches for Elisha in IL before 1852 have not returned any results. Any help would be appreciated.
