Dear Fellow Genealogist my name is Toni. I have been in search of my Great Grandfathers grave for years. I was told by my Father that he died 1930-1936 in Omaha Ne. His name was Michael J. Moran He lived in South Omaha Douglas County Not Sarpy. My father told me he was buried along with his wife and Grandchildren at St Mary's Cemetery in Omaha. I have been to St Mary's Cemetery looked at the actual records of Interments also have contacted the Catholic Cemetery Offices They do not have a record of his death or Grave. I have also checked all other catholic cemeteries along with others in the Omaha area.I have also been to the Bureau of Vital statistics twice and asked them to search No record. My father was positive on his facts He passed away in 1978. There is one hitch there is a James Moran buried at St Mary's in Omaha But there is no information on this man only a name no burial location ETC. So it is not known whether he was a grave owner or a deceased person.I also checked the vital statitics in Omaha for this. I may also mention that his church has no records either. I have also checked the Ne. historical society in Lincoln no record there either I have done Genealogy for years But this one has me stumped Tell me am I overlooking something? I would appreciate any input or advice. My Great Grandfather was close to 70 years old in 1930. He had lived in Omaha for 30 plus years. He had no living relatives at the time of his death But my Dad his Grandson (age 20-30)and Possibly some distant cousins. I would really appreciate some input. Thank You Toni Bytoni55@msn.com
