Pig Pen is the name of two country lanes in North Yancey County, between Burnsville and Greenmountain. There is Upper Pig Pen and Lower Pig Pen. One of them connects with Jacks Creek Road, and the other dead ends in a 'holler'. Beautiful country, there.
I really do not know anything of their history, but guess the traces which preceded them were from the early 1800s.
