I am looking for information on a Nancy Flack (may also have been named Agnes) who married Thomas McMurry in the late 1700s in North Carolina (probably in Rutherford County) and later moved to Dickson County, Tennessee, dying there @1815. I believe this couple may be the parents of my direct male-line ancestor, William Wallace McMurry (Sr.) who was born in North Carolina about 1783 and was living in Dickson County by 1819, when he married Mary Reid (Reed? Read?).
Thomas and Nancy had apparently moved to Dickson County no later than 1806 as they became the parents that year of Cynthia McMurry, who was born in Dickson County. Following their deaths, the couple left at least four minor children: Cynthia, who was placed in the guardianship of James McMurry (an older brother? an uncle?); Sally and Washington, who were placed in the guardianship of William McMurry (probably the William McMurry named above, who was an independent head of household by the time the US Census of 1820 was taken and had children of the right ages to be his siblings living with him); and Mary Ann "Polly" McMurry, who was placed in the guardianship of Robert McMurry (as with James, exact kinship not known).
Any information regarding Nancy and Thomas or their children would be welcome!
