I'm looking for information about a possible connection to my family. Recently, my father's aunt died and, while going through her papers, we found a certified copy of a birth certificate for a Reginald Lee Herring, it lists my great-grandfather (Loftin Henry Herring) as the father and has the same birth date as my aunt. Upon further research I found that the county (Richmond, NC obviously) has that Reginald was born a month later to an Earl H. Herring. My aunt and this man were next to each other in the book, making me suspicious. Does any one have any suggestions or thoughts about where to start trying to figure this one out?
