Charity's young husband, Jacob Falconbury (different spellings), born 1657 in Anson County, fought in the Revolutionary War for the Patriot side. But there were Loyalists there along the Pee Dee and general area. Maybe she came from Loyalist people. While Jacob was away waging war until 1781, her relatives may have taken her and her two children back to England??? I recently saw where Loyalists who returned to England after losing the Revolutionary War were given a pension for life if they lost property in the colonies due to the hostilities. Since I can't find anything at all about Charity or where she came from, maybe she came from English Loyalists, whose records were destroyed or lost. Anyway, Jacob and Charity didn't have any (surviving) children between 1780 and the mid 1790's. So they may have been apart and negotiated via letters going back and forth by sail ship. Well, I do have an imagination.
