Green Berry Morton was listed in the Census for Richmond Co., N C in 1830. In the latter part of the 1830's, He and his wife, Winnifred C. Ussery, along with the bigger part of her family, moved to Randolph County, Alabama. Winnifred's parents were Robert Ussery and Mary Cheairs.(Her name has been spelled differently, but I think they were of FRENCH extraction, thus the spelling.)
Anyway, I'm trying to find the parents of Green Berry Morton. He was born in 1804, and I assume that he was probably born in North Carolina, probably in or near Richmond County.
Incidentally, several of the Usserys and Green Berry Morton went into " Pottery Making " in Alabama, and some of Green Bery Morton's sons went into Mississippi and started Pottery Businesses there.
I would appreciate any help in locating the parents and siblings of Green Berry Morton.
