Susan, I saw your "Post" from earlier this year concerning King Blount aka King Blunt. It seem this guy was a real person. He is mentioned in a book by Henry T. King " Sketches of Pitt County", "A Brief History of the county" 1704-1910. This entire book is available online at the NC digital library. Seems like he may have been an Englishman who allied with the Indians in early NC. He was involved in the Tuscarora War of 1711. This book says on page 12 that Tom Blunt, a half-breed made a treaty with Governor Pollock. King Blount/Blunt had a son named Tom, so this may indicate that he , King Blount had married into an indian tribe. There was also a town named King Blount/Blunt that is mentioned in the book. This may be a good referrence book to read. Again it is available online.. Thanks.. Gus Allbritton Jasper, GA
