I am looking for ANYTHING on the Singletary (Singeltary), Easton and Grimes families in Pitt Co before 1850. I have a lost ancestor (John Singletary) who supposedly owned land in Pitt. I also have a James Grimes I am trying to find out anything about. James married the daughter of John, Mary 'Polly' Easton Singletary in 1807. Anyone who can do lookups for these familie will be loved forever:-) I have hit the big brick wall with John and James. Also looking to connect James Grimes with family of Bryan Grimes, a prominent landowner in Pitt Co (Avon, Yankee Hall and Grimesland plantations.) Bryan Grimes Sr was the guardian of the grandchildren of John Singletary when his son, The Rev. John Singletary, died. Anything at all will help.
