I note from messages posted to the Trusty Family Genealogy Forum some years ago the possibility that one or more with the Trusty surname married one or more with the Fedric surname. It appears that one Fedric who married a Trusty was an ancestor of Radford Jones Fedric (1819-1891) who married Emma Milton Turnipseed (1825-1884) in Alabama 12 Oct 1844.

Radford Jones Fedric was born in Person County, North Carolina, and moved to Alabama/Mississippi where he met and married Emma Milton Turnipseed, purportedly while working as on overseer for Emma's father.

Some researchers have stated without providing documentation that the older brother of Radford Jones Fedric was Ransom Fedric (born c. 1815 in Person County, North Carolina). Those same researchers state that the parents of Radford and Ransom was John Fedric (died c. 1821 in Person County, North Carolina) and Lucy Vaughan. There is a reliable Person County, North Carolina, marriage record: John Federick and Lucy Vaughan 6 Feb 1814 (William McKissack bondsman, Alex Winstead witness).

I am interested in exploring the inter-relationship between the Fedric and Trusty families but am particularly interested in answering the following two questions: (1) were Radford Jones Fedric and Ransom Fedric brothers; and were John Fedric and Lucy Vaughan their parents?

Any input would be welcome. I have quite a bit on the early Fedric families of Person County, North Carolina, and gladly would share my findings, including information on a John Fedric, Sr. who may be the grandfather of Radford and Ransom.

Best regards.
