There was a Calvin L. Thompson in the court minutes of the June Term of 1815 of Giles Co., TN. Levi F. Thompson was appointed administrator of the estate of William F. Thompson, decd. Levi presented an inventory of said estate and was given permission to sell the perishable goods. Then further down the page at same June Term, Levi F. Thompson was made guardian of the heirs and legatees of William F. Thompson decd., Nancy B., Beriah K., Ebenezer E. and Calvin L. Thompson. This found in Abstracts of Giles County, Tennessee, County Court Minutes, 1813-1816, and Circuit Court Minutes, 1810-1816 by Carol Wells. William F. and Levi F. Thompson were closely related, but how?

Levi F. Thompson was on the 1820 Williamson Co., TN, Census with what appears to be a wife and 3 children. Ebenezer E. Thompson was born c1804 NC. He married first in 1828 Williamson Co., TN, and died between 1860/70 in Davidson Co., TN. I do not have a list of his children nor any censuses except 1860 Davidson Co. with #3 wife and 2 step children. There was a James Thompson and family a couple of households away which was most likely a son.

I just started again looking at the Thompsons for my ancestor, Nancy Thompson, born Nov 1799. She married Robert Galloway in Madison Co., MS Ter (now AL) in July 1816. Can not find Robert Galloway after that but believe he was the same person on the Giles Co., TN, 1812 Taxlist. Married a second time to Abraham Fanning in July 1822, in Lawrence Co., TN. The Fannings were from Giles Co. Abraham and Nancy Fanning moved to Morgan Co., IL, in 1824 and where Nancy died in Jan 1880.

Hope this helps. Do you have some info on Calvin L. that you could share?
