Very interested in this Reed family have a deed transaction between a William Mouat and James Watson with a witness of William Reed -- I descend thru a Reed family in this family a strange name is used often as a middle name . The name of Murat maybe spelling or accent was misunderstood, however this Reed family was from NC late 1700s. I have a John Reed b. 1740s or 1750s married a Williams in Rowan 1700s. Anything sound familiar? Patricia
