Hello and thanks for the information. I was aware of Thomas Welborn and Wm Sr. and Wm Jr. Welborn as living in Orange NC during this era...But did not have the details of neighbors or frankly anything else. So your information is very welcomed. Including the details of Edward Welborn and his wife Martha. So where does Richard Willbourn fit into the scheme of things? That's the problem! No land records show that he indeed lived in Orange NC. Still, to my way of thinking it does appear likely that this was the case. For a number of reasons, I have concluded that that there has got to be a connection between the four Welborns that you cited in reponse to my quere and Richard Willbourn who was over a hundred when he died in 1820. I also wish to acknowledge that others disagree. I have seen the Burk name with Wilburns but cannot think of where...I will plow through my papers and see if I can locate something. thanks again for taking the time to write and for you valued information. Best regards, Vikky wilburn Anders |
