I recently found a map/index I bought in 1992, and contacted the son of the man who compiled the map in 1973. It is a 23"x34" map with accompanying index. I shows the positions of Land Grants in Orange Co and a few plots in what is now western Durham Co and northern Chatham Co. The map shows locations of hundreds of grants, with grant date. The grant dates run from 1743when the area was still Bladen Co to 1810. I cannot answer questions about the map or index as it copyrighted material. If you contact me direct, I am permitted to give you the contact information where you can obtain a copy of the map/index.
