Has anyone followed any of these families back before they were in Onslow?

Onslow Militia in 1754: Benjamin, Phineas & Richard Stephens, Jarvis Bump (possible this s/b Jabez, 3 Lewis males, & David Bumpus.

Other persons in Onslow NC that maybe clue that our Roses were there also. Deed Book Mar 29 1746 Jabez Spooner sold land. June 4 1746 Henry Stanton appoints John Spooner of Onslow as attorney to collect. A Mary Rose married a Spooner in Marshfield Plymouth Colony. One of the early histories of Marshfield states she is daughter of Anthony Rose. I have not found a Anthony early enough to be her father.

Sept 8 1770 Phineas& Tamzon Stephens to John Rose of 10 pounds the land and plantation whereon he then lived.

18 Nov 1772 John Elliot to John Rose 250 acres.

15 Jan 1777 John Rose, planter, to Stanton Spooner, planter for 70 100 acres opposite Stanton’s corner which land was granted to Phineus Stevens in 1736.

29 Nov 1777 witness John Rose & Deidamus Rose.

9 Nov 1778 John Rose to Stanton Spooner.

Stanton Spooner & wife Susannah to Reuben Grant for 200 pounds in gold & silver 40 acres as by patent of Nov 14, 1713 by Tobias Knight of which 90 acres was deeded to Hannah Spooner, mother of Stanton Spooner, by Henry Spooner deceased, June 5 1746, at line of Henry Stanton’s land.

July 20 1785 John Rose to Edward Ward, signed John & Didemar Rose Tests: Stanton Spooner & Herman Rose.

14 July 1785 John Rose Test: Margert Stephen, signed by John & Dedemria Rose.

20 Aug 1787 Lemuel Doty, Benejah Doty, deased. Tests: a John Ellis.

8 Oct 1787 John Rose & wife Elizabeth .

15 Sept 1788 to Asay Stephens ….John Rose..Tests: Elijah Stephens.

4 Apr 1789 ..26 acres on Rose’s corner …joining John Rose’s land.

Feb 19, 1800 Archabald Rose & mother, Dedemiah Rose.

Abstracts of wills

1746-1863: Harmon Rose 3 Sept no year, To wife Martha & child is one born, otherwise to brothers John & Joseph.

7 May 1785: John Rose to wife Dedimah Rose, mentions plantation in Montgomery Co to go to wife, to sons Harmon, John & Arcxhibals. To son Hugh or Henry land in Montgomery Co called Jourden Plantation if he choses to live there, if not sold & divided to two sons..& Mehebol Rose, to son Joseph land in Carteret and children not mentioned 2 shillings. Rxrs: Reuben Grant & son Harmon. Tests Stanton Spooner..
