My line is out of Richard Field and Ann Kirton of Barbados to Onslow Co. NC by about 1738 - 1740. Their son Smith Field was either born in Barbados or Onslow Co. NC in 1740. Smith Field b. 1740 married Elizabeth UNKNOWN and Smith died in Anson Co. NC in 1799. His descendants included son James Field who died in Anson Co. NC on Sept. 20, 1815 and his widow SARAH/ SALLY HINSON FIELD and her adult children then moved to TN. The records for James Field and his family are listed below from Barbados to Onslow Co. NC to Anson Co. NC to TENNESSEE. Help is needed to establish more on Richard Field and wife Ann Kirton as we have no known parents for ANN KIRTON. She was most likely born abt. 1700 in Barbados or England and married Richard Field in Barbados on Nov. 23, 1722 per marriage records of Richard Field in St. Philip Parish, Barbados. Many of their children are believed to have been born in Barbados before they arrived on shores of Onslow Co. NC. Richard Field b. July 31, 1697 and is son of SAMUEL FIELD b. 1666 Barbados and wife HANNAH SMITH FIELDS. RICHARD FIELD b. 1697 Barbados died on June 24, 1742 in Onslow Co. NC. No other information on Ann Kirton and we know that some surnames of KIRTON were in CRAVEN CO. NC, yet have not established that they would be related to ANN KIRTON FIELDS of BARBADOS to ONSLOW CO. NC. Help is needed to establish more records on these FIELDS/ KIRTON family after they arrived in Onslow Co. NC in 1738-1740. We have most of the BARBADOS RECORDS on the FIELD family and we have their ANSON CO. NC Records as well as their TENNESSEE records, but haven't much on their records after arriving in Onslow Co. NC. Any help appreciated. Thanks,

Sarah / Sally Hinson ( d/o Benjamin Hinson and Mourning ) married JAMES FIELDS and lived in Anson Co. NC then moved to Henry Co. TN and may have either died in Henry or Carroll Co. TN after moving there with her adult children. Her son Alexander Fields md. Sarah Unknown and they are my GG Grandparents. Their daughter SIDNEY FIELDS b. 1830 married Green D. Berry Rogers in Carroll Co. TN in 1848 and they then moved to Boone Co. AR by 1870 and are buried there. They may be connected to other BARBADOS families who moved to NC also and those surnames would be JULIAN/ BULLOCK/ PAYNTER and the JULIAN name has been listed as de St. Julian or St. Julian of France to England to Barbados to SC / NC / VA/ MD / TN. The FIELD family is listed as Del a Field or Del a Feld of France to England and became Field in England, to Barbados and was changed to FIELDS in Onslow Co. NC after their arrival there. PAYNTER/ BULLOCK families have ties to both Barbados and Bermuda and were English merchants who owned lands in Bermuda. They are listed as Knights and Sirs, so they are landed English Gentry who later on were in Bermuda.
