Maybe this will help. This is taken from Abstracts of Records of Nash County 1777-1859 By J.W. Walston. Benjamin Griffin inventory and sale by Jordan Goodrich, admr., Dec. 5, 1851. Rhoda Griffin, Nathan Griffin, Hillman Griffin, Ruffin Griffin, Hardy Griffin, Sally Griffin, Richard Griffin, Jacob Griffin, Gearry Griffin, Parry Griffin, and J.G.F. Drake were among the buyers.
