Great information on the Bottoms, etc. families. I have a name to add for your consideration. I believe Amos Bottoms also had a daughter named Milbrey Patsey, born around 1807 (I actually believe she was older than that). She married Reuben Andrew Strickland b. 1788 in NC (quite a bit older than Patsey, if the dates are correct). They lived in Georgia for a time and then back to NC.

Children that I know of were Andrew Jackson Strickland, born 1818 in Georgia and Elizabeth Strickland, born 1847 in NC. What children they had in the intervening time, I don't know of as this information was given to me by another researcher. I have theorized that Amos Bottoms is the father of Milbrey Patsey Bottoms due to her being born in NC and Reuben Andrew Strickalnd also living in NC. Amos Bottoms was from Nash County and Reuben and Patsey ended up there, I believe.

Amos had a wife named Patsey L., a second wife, I think (again, going from info from another web site)That is an additional indication that he had a daughter also named Patsey.

Sending you this info to you as a theory, not proven; my goal is to find Milbrey Patsey Bottoms' parents.

Thank you for any input or advice you have on this.
