Looking for information regarding the following people:
1.Churchwell Anderson- found in 1790 on the Franklin Co. census, in 1800 and 1810 in Nash Co. Trying to establish the parentage of Henry anderson, bn Feb 20, 1794 in Nash, and this the only Anderson recorded in Nash.
2.From the Nash Co. Court Records.
1801-Jeremiah Wells ordered to pay for the child of
Sally Screws
1802- Charity Shores, base begotten daughter of
Sarah Shores to be bound til the age of 18
to Jeremiah Wells. Charity age 4.
1803- Motion by Sally Weaver to Jeremiah Wells for
support of her child
1803- Jeremiah Wells ordered to pay 9 pounds toward
support of his child with Rhoda Pridgen
In 1820 Jeremiah Wells is in Telfair Co.,Ga. with alot of children and no wife, but living near to Thomas and Mark Pridgen, who were probably brothers of Rhoda.
Who did Rhoda Pridgen marry ?
Was Sally Screws the same person as Sarah Shores and Sally weaver ? Where did Charity Shores go...she was bound until about 1816.
Apparently Jeremiah left N.C. shortly after settling his mother's estate. Did he sell this property?I hope someone out there can help me.
The daughter of Jeremiah Wells, Alice,bn abt 1810 in Nash Co., married Henry Anderson,bn 1794, Nash Co., at her father's plantation, Telfair Co., in 1825. He settled several slaves on her at that time for them to settle the new grant of Henry in Thomas co.,Ga.
