My gggg grandfather, Laban (or Labon) Shepherd was born in North Carolina in 1757. In 1782 the Nash County, N.C. tax list shows that he had 150 acres of land. He was in Capt. Hattons District. Further information available in the North Carolina Archives File L.P. 46.1. Does anyone have local access to that archive, or can you tell me how to get the info from Florida?? Does anyone have more information about this gentleman?
