Hi Ron, The marriage bond states Elizabeth a certain woman, not Indian woman. My mistake in transcribing the original the first time and having others look at the origianl to confirm

As I am old and failed and unable to ride I have here sent my son Nathaniel Templeton to act in my room and stead as if I was personally present in order to get license from you in respect of William Mcdowal and my daughter Elizabeth and they shall be your warrant from your friend.

Know all by these present that we:

The Condition of above obligation is ___ that whereas the above Bonnder William McDowell hath this day obtained a license to Mary a certain woman named Elizabeth Templeton, Now if it shall not appear at any time here after that there is no lawfully cause to obstruct the sad Marage then the Above Obligation shall be void as of no effect Otherwise remain in full force and value.
