2008 NATIONAL ALLISON FAMILY REUNION
Celebrating 350 years in America!
Friday and Saturday, October 17 and 18
Brevard, North Carolina
Presented by the 700 members of the National Allison-Allanson Family Association, the descendants of Thomas Allanson/Allison (1639-1684),Gentleman of London, England and Charles County, Maryland, Lord of ChristianTemple Manor
Commemorating the family's arrival in Maryland from London, England in the year 1658.
All Allisons, kin, and friends of the family cordially and warmly invited! Attendance drawn from up to 40 states, numbering as high as 750 for portions of the weekend festivities.

350th ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE BOOK
The National Allison-Allanson Family Association is publishing a very special book to celebrate this major milepost in our history, to honor our past and our ancestors who brought us here, and to preserve the present of our family for the future. The book will include the story of the Allison family across the centuries, from England to America. Each individual or immediate family attending the reunion will be featured in the book with an
article on that particular family, including ancestry, and a photo. Photographers will be waiting at the reunion entrance to make the photos for the book. There is no charge for the photos. Also, all reunion memorials and
tributes for loved ones will be published. Don't miss this chance to become a part of the Allison family story and to go down in our history forever through the permanence of the printed word.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17
Opening the reunion at Brevard College...premiere of the Allison reunion documentary film by Connect 7 Productions, New York, shot in conjunction with filming at the 2007 National Allison Family Reunion as the pilot for a planned TV show, "Family Reunions". Hosted by Producer Bob Nastasi and Joe Livolsi of Connect 7 Productions.
Immediately following the film presentation there will be a reception honoring our film makers and a reunion welcome party at Hampton Inn with desserts and coffee and a family history swap-shop for the genealogists in the family, plus live heritage music.
SATURDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 18
Morning and day-time events at Brevard College
Doors open for the 8:00 am to view the huge family history exhibit with displays from all lines of the family from all across America, including a 100+ foot exhibit presenting a 508 year timeline of family history with
major events along the 5 centuries. More than 300 feet of genealogy exhibits drawn from all lines and branches of the family!
Program begins 10 am. with guest speaker Her Majesty's Consul General Michael Bates OBE, the story of the Allison family, auction featuring a heritage quilt auction, quilt raffle, handmade Allison guitar raffle commemorating the 350th anniversary, door prizes, annual reunion banquet
luncheon, and memorial service with the memorial wreath presentation honoring the Allison family's British ancestors by Her Majesty's Consul General Michael Bates OBE.
SATURDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 18
350th ANNIVERSARY HOEDOWN
Under the stars on the banks of Davidson River, Pisgah Forest
Featuring Cherokee Indian dance and mountain dance show, plenty of great mountain bluegrass and old-time music for
listening and dancing under the stars. Quilt raffle, fabulous rustic BBQ dinner outdoors on the riverbank.
