I am looking for information on William Andrew Scroggs. He was the son of Alfred & Leanah Justus Scroggs and was the wife of Mary Jane Green, daughter of Empsie and Disey Justice Green. He enlisted in Co. I, 39 NC Reg. on 1 June 1864. He was wounded, leg amputated, and captured by the Union in just over two weeks. After the war, he returned to Macon County, purchased land on Evans Creek, and ran a shoe shop in Franklin. Need info where he and wife is buried and any other items available.
