Trying to connect my George Perkins to the Perkins clan who traveled through Lincoln County in the mid 1700s. The Perkins intermarried with the Sherrills and Simpons across many generations.

We believe our George is one of many sons of Moses Perkins Jr. and UNK.

Moses Jr. is the son of Moses Sr. and Sabreth who are part of the large MD Perkins that migrated south. Most of the Perkins trees list Richard as the father of Moses Sr. The early Perkins are well documented, the later generations have holes unfortunately.

Moses Jr. would have had several children mostly sons. Isham, John B, Joseph are likely sons, David might have been a cousin to the younger sons. They all served in the War of 1812 in the 2nd Regt out of West Tennessee ( except Isham).

Moses Jr. applied for a Rev. War pension and states he was born in 1758 in Lincoln County, NC, he dies in 1849 and is listed in the mortality census for 1850. After Lincoln county, he moved to Wilkes county, GA where we think George was born in abt. 1781. In 1790ish he moved on to Pendleton Dist., SC and sometime after 1800 he moves to WarrenCo, TN where he is for most of the remainder of his life.

Can anyone connect themselves to this Perkins family??? Georges kids were John W. and William K? and daughters Rachael, Keziah, Elizabeth, Mary 'Polly', Nancy and Rebecca. I mention the names in case they show up in others family lines.

Any input or directions to research appreciated.
