Barbara. Your message is over 10 years old, and the odds are great that you have solved your puzzle by now, but if by some remote chance you have not, Amos Harrison b. 1814 in Trenton, Jones, NC to John and Elizabeth (....) Harrison is a part of my family. His father, John Harrison was born abt 1770 in New Bern, Jones (Craven) Co, NC, and died in 1826 in Trenton, Jones Co, NC, leaving a will. This is an abstract of that will:
Abstract of the Will of John Harrison, March 30, 1822 - December term, 1826. To son Levy Harrison, the land and plantation where Jesse Alphin lived on Antwine's branch near McDaniel's fence, to Parson's branch, containing 50 acres and all rest of my property kept together for my wife and children's support and a home for the older children if they have cause, but if they marry they must provide a home for themselves and can have this for a home no longer. When my son Amos is 21 years old, all lands and everything else sold, except that given away and money divided between my wife and all my children except Levy, who has received his share. Exr: wife Elizabeth Harrison. Wts: Richard Morris, Wilson Morris.

After his death in 1826, Elizabeth travelled to Macon Co, Missouri with her son, William and they have a rich history there. I have pictures of her tombstone if you are interested.
Good luck to you and anyone interested reading this.
