I recently found a great website called THE TRANS-ATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE DATABASE. The ship Good Intent departed from Liverpool, England July 4, 1767, It had aboard 14 crew members and 150 slaves. It shipwrecked off the coast of NC. Captains name James Gardner. Does anybody have any more info on this ship? Several years ago, I read a post that stated, This ship had 300 slaves, and the Captain's name was John Copeland. He was one of the owners of the ship. Just thought I'd pass it along.
