Hey Nancy,
I'm William and my grandfather was William Parrish
Cahoon, and my ggrandfather was William A. Cahoon. I
have no idea what the (A) stands for tho. I believe
there was a sixth child out of the marriage of he and
Elizabeth Bettie Swindell. When I first started my re-
search about a year ago, a Karen M. Swindell sent me
a email with attachments that said the sixth child was
Margaret E. b.1882 & d. 1964. She was married to Charlie
C. Cox, and they had three children which all have died
and are burried in Fairfield cemetary.
I haven't been able to go back any further than William
A. There is a faimly of Cahoon's which started with Isaiah
Cahoon and Sarah Banks just before 1800 and they had six
children. Four were born between 1813 and 1817. The other
two were William and Mary with no date of birth. Also
Isaiah married a second wife about 1919. It could be that
William A. is that William, and born about 1825 or even
later. If you get anything I'd be real interested. Thanks
Bill
