I am interested in the children of this Stephen Smith. I have a Cullen Smith born 1777 who migrated from Wayne Co. NC about 1816 to Anson Co. NC. He may be the one indicated as Stephen Cullen Smith listed at the following link:

I also have the following:
http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/nc/greene/military/smith01.txt Greene County, NC - Cullen Smith - Revolutionary Service Delamar Extracts, Pgs 1-200 Legislative Papers Relating to Revolutionary Service NC Archives Cullen Smith of Green County. Stephen Smith & wife Joanna Council are reported to have a son named Stephen and I suspect he may be Stephen Cullen Smith. There is an article about this family in the recently published Columbus Co. NC Heritage Book submitted by a Janice F. Smith.
