Christopher Daniel EUDY was born 1790 in Mecklenburg Co., N.C., in the part which in 1792 became Cabarrus Co. He was the only known son of Daniel Burnhardt EUDY, born about 1754, probably in N.C., County unknown. Listed as Barenhard Ourey in the 1790 Mecklenburg Co., Census, he was killed in an accident in 1796, and his Will probated in Cabarrus Co. in that year (see "An Abstract of N.C. Wills "by Fred A. Olds, Genealogical Publishing Co. 1978, p. 43 "Bernhard Ute") His widow, Barbara (WELLS) EUDY later remarried in Cabarrus Co. to Robert WILLIAMS. Daniel Burnhardt EUDY was probably the son of Gottfried EUDY, born about 1732, place unknown, who is listed in the 1790 Cabarrus Co. Census under the name of Godfryt Oudy; and in 1800 as Gotfred Uety. He was last found in the 1810 Montgomery Co., N.C. Census listed as Got. Oury (or Oary). He likely died shortly thereafter. Descendants can be found in Marshall County, Ala in the 1850 Census.
