Hello,

I am doing some research on my Grandfather (Doyle Lane Burleson born 1917). Though living in Canada in 1941, he listed his next of kin as his sister Tabitha Burleson of 116 Tryon, Asheville. He also listed a Margaret Evelyn Burleson as a sister as well (but no direct link to Asheville). In one document, Tabitha appears to have "Marie" in front of her name, but I cannot be sure. My grandfather has been deceased for some time and little else is known about the linkage to NC or the rest of his family. I beleive that he was actually born in Canada(currently working on confirming this officially) but had family in NC. He went to Blanton's college for a year and may have done highschool in the area, but I can't be sure.

If sisters are listed as next of kin, I can only presume that his parents were deceased at this time, and I do not know their names. I've scoured the web for clues off an on for years but have had no luck -- Ancestry.com is not giving me enough of the more recent history to advance anything. I think I need some on the ground advice. Would be pleased to connect with anyone who has any ideas.
