In his will recorded in Bladen County, James listed that his wife was Mary Jane and the sons listed were James McKay and John Richardson. Daughters listed were Sarah Jane, Margaret Harris, Eliza, Susy, and Molly. He listed G. W. Davis as his grandson. The will was dated June 4, 1871 and executed October 5, 1886.

Jim's children married the following people:

*Margaret (b. about 1830 - d. June 8, 1906) married Tommie L. Harris
*Streety b. 1840 married Sallie Davis b. 1836
*James McKoy (b. about 1850 d. Sept. 16, 1907) married Sarah Davis 1870 (b. 1847 d. Nov. 12, 1915)
*John Richardson Davis (b. March 1, 1853 d. Oct. 24 1924) m. Melvina Suggs
*Lloyd Davis married Ella Mae Davis 1st.
*Emma (Emily) married John Tatum

Most records that I have found list Jim's birthday around 1799/1800 even though this does not match family oral history of his birthday being earlier.

Was your Billy married to Patience Hall? I have not been able to find any information on Jim or Billy's parents. I would love to know if they are related.
