Would like to know more about HERKEY or HICKEY WILLIAMS.
I am working on the hypothosis that this Mark COLE is the
Mark Cole who was the son of Stephen COLE and Elizabeth TEMPLE of PA. Mark was md. to Alice EVANS, parents unknown. Mark died in Cumberbland Co., NC. Many early Southeast NC settlers were from PA/MD.
A James BOUNDS and wife, Ann DICKS/DYKES from MD had a dau, Eleanor BOUNDS who md Stephen COLE, and a son named Jesse BOUNDS who md. Nancy LNU. Jesse had a son John. Jesse's children were b. in Anson Co., NC, but I do not know if this family is related to the Jesse and John BOUNDS in the above land records.
If anyone can help me with some of these relationships, I would appreciate it.
