Hello Sharon...I am assuming that Asa was born in 1843 and not 1943. I did a search on Ancestry.com and however did find the Asa and Georgiana in the Census. I also did a search for the area in which I found them and Googled it. I found them in Pitt County rather than Beaufort County. I found a Cemetery with both of them with their death dates.(Lenior) County.Because of the death dates you will most likely have to send for them.Hopefully this will give Asa's Parents Names.As I could not find Asa as of yet in the 1850 Census. http://lenoir.lostsoulsgenealogy.com/cems/maplewoodcem.htm Thats the Cem Link.
