I'm looking for any information on my 3rd great grandfather, Robert W. Murdock who was born in about 1840 in Georgia, and later moved to Alabama. It seems he also went by his initials, R.W. Murdock often. Here is what I've found out about him so far: He probably served in the Civil War, on the side of the Confederacy. He was married to a woman named Hannah M. who was born around 1849, also in Georgia. I don't know her maiden name. They had 2 daughters and one son, all born in Alabama: Mary E. born June 1867 (who later married Allen F. Raines), Hannah M. born April 1870, and Robert H. (possibly Robert W.) born about 1875. Does anyone know anything else about R.W., his wife or their children? Any help is greatly appreciated. Jonathan Raines
