Dan: I sent you an email about this family.
I looked at some records on line. William Manson Hargrove's name was spelled Hartgrove, and John C. Hargrove's name was spelled Heartgrove. The children you have listed for John C. I do believed are all brothers and sisters. My mother-in-law's first husband was Bolden Hargrove of Haywood County, NC. His father was a James L. Hargrove who was married to Ella Green. They had three sons. Bolden Hobart Hargrove was born about Oct. 22, 1896. He died June 22, 1948. He was a preacher. Elsie Miller (my mother-in-law) was his second wife. She died last year. Lonnie was James L.'s second son. He was born about 1904 and died in 1968. James Charles was his third son, he died I think about 1985. Not sure though. My sister-in-law Edna, Bolden's youngest daughter has his bible and the names that you listed as John's children, most are in this bible. I am going to get her to photo copy the page. She thinks that James L. father was a Johnny. I would love to know how you got the names of the children for John. I am not sure about James L. He is who we are trying to find more information on. A granddaughter of James Charles is also trying to find information on this family. I am doing this for my husband's half brothers and sisters. Since they are a branch through his mother. Elsie's second husband was Thomas Sutton of Haywood County, North Carolina. I have never been there. We live in Florida. I met the grand daughter through the computer just a few weeks ago. I hope you see this letter, since you haven't answered my email.
